Play Girls Rugby 7s at Briars today!

Briars compete in the Sydney Junior Rugby 7s Series.

The Spring 7s is coming up – played October 15, October 29 and November 12

This will introduce players to the Senior Women’s team who compete in Sydney and in Regional and International competitions (Phuket 7s and Dubai 7s in 2022, Borneo 7s and Dubai 7s in 2023)

Training Thursday nights 5:30pm at Rothwell Park, Majors Bay Rd Concord.

We have a great squad and great opportunities for players to excel as Briars Rugby Seven’s continues to pave the way for the women in Sydney’s Inner West!

Rugby is a fun, fast and exciting game to play. You need to want to get fit and enjoy playing sport with other people. It is the ultimate team sport—fast, physical and always challenging. We love it.

The inclusion of Rugby Sevens for men and women since the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio has seen huge growth in the game. The Australian Women’s team won the gold that shows the strength of the game in Australia.

Briars Women’s Rugby launched in May 2018, joining the fastest growing sport in the world. Briars competes in the Sydney Women’s Rugby 7s competition, playing from April – August every 3rd Sunday.

Briars Women’s Rugby also compete in Regional and International competitions, including the Phuket 7s and Dubai 7s in 2022.

Briars Women’s Rugby provide great opportunities for players of all abilities. If you are new to the game or an experienced player, Briars will provide new and exciting opportunites on and off the field.
